About Lenna
Lenna Gunning-Williams is a teenager who just loves football.
Starting very young with a ball at her feet at about three years old she has progressed from park football, through her local academy to become quite an accomplished young footballer. It was helpful to her development to start her football journey in the boys game from an early age only switching to play both boys and girls and more recently primarily in the girls academy team. Learning different football skills and understanding the technical elements of the boys game has helped to give Lenna a well formed view of the right way to play irrespective of the gender or mix of the team.
More recently she has appeared on TV screens as the character “Jack” in the CBBC children’s TV series, “Jamie Johnson”. With no prior acting experience, Lenna quickly adapted to the tasks required to play key character on screen with the end result a successful portrayal of a girl footballer making her way in the boy’s game.
Hard work is at the core of everything Lenna undertakes whether school work, football or any sporting activity. With a desire to endlessly Lenna and improve on all actions whether good or bad, Lenna approaches life with keen to do her best. Who knows what the future holds for Lenna but there is little doubt whatever it is she will be smiling and most likely will have a ball at her feet.
Colin Williams 2018.
